Testimonials
Darrel was a very innovative and dedicated Director for the Austin Chapter of the Project Management Institute. Darrel and I served together for years. He was always looking for way to better the organization and promote the project management discipline. His efforts have made the chapter one of the best.
Darrel Raynor was recommended to me by the Executive Director at Discover Hope Fund. He assisted us in the start up phases of a new company that several colleagues and I are investing in. He was incredibly creative and knowledgeable at identifying tactical areas for improvement and new business strategies. His personable style was a wonderful fit for us and we benefited greatly by his expertise. In addition to his tactical and strategic guidance and advice, Darrel exhibited a very high level of integrity and professionalism. We really enjoyed working with him and would recommend him to anyone starting up a business or wanting to further and expand their existing market share.
Darrel is a can-do executive who is highly professional and quite diligent in his work ethic. He possesses exceptional strategic and analytical skills, which he smartly wields to build intelligent operational processes that not only save money but also vastly increase ROI. Darrel has a rock-solid combination of technical, financial, and operations experience that reinforces his ability to promote positive change. He’s also an engaging instructor!
Darrel has the business acumen that enabled the organization to move forward in a progressive and compassionate way. He has extensive experience in managing and moving people to accomplish more than is expected and yet also understands the people aspect of a business. Darrel has high energy and focus on the goal. He follows through with promises and expectations to fulfill the needs of customers and employees.
Darrel was great to work with and is a natural leader. Specifically at Triand Darrel led an overhaul of our sales and marketing programs which resulted in significant new revenue and customers. He also made significant improvements in our Operations business process reengineering for Development, Support, Human Resources, and IT. Darrel's finance, accounting, M&A, and equity events expertise was incredibly helpful too. I consider Darrel a close advisor and recommend him wherever there are challenges to overcome. Darrel works collaboratively, faces challenges as they arise, provides leadership and guidance, and is not afraid of the hard decisions sometimes necessary. I learned a lot from Darrel and hope to work with Darrel again.
A cross-divisional leader who knows how to get his team's best thinking accepted and implemented, Darrel has uncommon vision to remedy acute process gaps even in the face of wildly disparate views. A people-builder at heart, Darrel is generous with his time and insight: I am lucky to know Darrel as both a mentor and friend and would happily work together again!
With a strong software development process background, Darrel brought valuable organization, rigor and rational thought (no pun intended) to programs influencing around 1000 engineers. All the while maintaining positive personalized relationships with those involved.
I know Darrel through his participation in the local Austin Project Management Institute (PMI) Chapter and lecturing at St. Edward's Professional Education Center (PEC). He is an advocate or Agile Project Mgmt and applying the PMBOK is a realistic and relevent way. Darrel has excelled at administering the local PMI Job Opportunities Group on Yahoo. He is an excellent consultant and trainer.
Darrel and I and a few other people Darrel knew were working together to propose a Year 2000 conversion project for my prospective client. Darrel impressed me as very professional and well organized and I'm sure that the project would've gone very well if the prospect hadn't suddenly been bought out, ending the need for the project.
Darrel introduces himself as a Project Mangement expert, with considerable credentials, but he is actually considerably more than that. I have known and collaborated with Darrel off-and-on for 12 years and his depth in software development process, quality, due diligence, team building, research and other fields add value to every project.
